This week, four Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) issued nominations to immigration candidates based on their professional experience, secured employment, and overall eligibility for provincial immigration.

Each PNP has its own scoring system or uses the federal Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) for Express Entry-aligned streams to evaluate candidates. These scores are specific to each program and cannot be compared across different PNPs.
Provincial Immigration Results: September 6th to 13th
British Columbia
On September 10th, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) invited candidates through the Skilled Worker International Graduate stream, targeting professionals in in-demand occupations. This draw was aligned with the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option.
Cut-off scores varied by profession:
- Childcare workers: Minimum score of 83 (30 invitations issued)
- Construction workers: Minimum score of 89 (19 invitations issued)
- Healthcare workers: Minimum score of 99 (18 invitations issued)
- Tech workers: Minimum score of 117 (84 invitations issued)
- Veterinary care workers: Minimum score of 80 (at least 1 invitation issued)
Ontario
On September 10th, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held three draws under the “Employment: Job Offer” streams:
- International Students: 806 candidates invited with a minimum score of 67 and a job offer in a health occupation or skilled trade.
- Skilled Trades: 15 candidates invited with a minimum score of 67 and a job offer in a skilled trade.
- In-Demand Skills: 647 candidates invited with a minimum score of 34 and a job offer meeting Ontario’s job requirements.
On September 12th, the OINP issued 1,269 invitations under the Human Capital Priorities stream, requiring a minimum score between 414 and 444 and work experience in selected healthcare roles.
Manitoba
On September 12th, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited 206 candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream. To qualify, candidates needed employment in one of the following occupations:
- Cooks (NOC 63200)
- Chefs (NOC 62200)
Additionally, they or their spouse needed post-secondary education in Manitoba. Of the 206 invited, 21 had valid Express Entry profiles.
Saskatchewan
On September 12th, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) issued 32 invitations under the Occupations-In-Demand stream. Candidates required a minimum score of 88, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) or a Canadian post-secondary degree, and employment in specific National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes such as senior managers, financial managers, human resources professionals, and more.
These nominations reflect ongoing efforts by provinces to target candidates with skills and experience in demand across various sectors.
